Building a Strong Defence for Hong Kong’s Critical Infrastructure: Experts Gather, Insights Abound!
Recently, Z-ONE successfully hosted the 「Exploring China’s CyberTech in the Era of Hong Kong CI in 2026」 Cybersecurity Tech Salon in Hong Kong. The event brought together cybersecurity experts, industry leaders, technology vendors, and partners from both Hong Kong and mainland China, sparking a midsummer feast of ideas on critical infrastructure (CI) protection and the global expansion of China’s cybersecurity technologies.
At the opening session, Dicky WONG, CEO of Syber Couture, delivered an in-depth analysis of the key points of the Hong Kong CI Bill. He not only examined the current state and challenges of local cybersecurity, but also shared best practices for addressing the new regulatory landscape. His insights drew significant attention from the audience and set a tone of both pragmatism and forward-thinking for the entire event.
Following this, three leading technology companies from mainland China—RiskRadar, Cloudfall, and CanWay BlueWhale—delivered keynote presentations. Their topics ranged from rapid vulnerability detection and remediation, to the transformation of security operations from passive defence to proactive intelligence, and the development of integrated platforms for enterprise IT development and operations. Each session addressed critical industry pain points, offering both in-depth technical insights and practical, actionable solutions. Attendees were fully engaged—taking notes, reflecting on the discussions, and actively raising questions during the interactive exchanges.
As a vital bridge between China and international markets, Hong Kong is entering a strategic window of opportunity for strengthening critical information infrastructure security. Through this face-to-face exchange, industry representatives from both Hong Kong and mainland China not only deepened their understanding of emerging technologies and trends, but also uncovered new opportunities for collaboration through candid dialogue. During the coffee breaks and networking sessions, guests exchanged business cards and continued their discussions, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with anticipation for future cooperation.
Many participants remarked that this was not only a highly informative technical sharing session, but also a valuable experience that opened new perspectives and fostered meaningful connections. Z-ONE will continue to uphold the principles of openness, collaboration, and innovation, driving deeper cybersecurity cooperation between Mainland China and Hong Kong, and helping more outstanding Chinese cybersecurity technologies reach the global stage. Looking ahead, we will keep hosting more high-quality events to explore the boundless possibilities of “Mainland Technology × Hong Kong Opportunities × Global Vision.”
