China’s Cybersecurity Innovation Amplifies ASEAN Voices|CYDES 2025 Highlights

CYDES 2025, led by the Malaysian government and the National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA), was successfully concluded recently in Putrajaya.

With the theme "Enhancing Cyber Resilience," this year’s edition brought together cybersecurity experts, tech innovators, and industry representatives from around the world to engage in in-depth discussions on the challenges of the digital era, while promoting practical cooperation and cross-border collaboration.

As one of the most influential cybersecurity events in the Asia-Pacific region, CYDES 2025 attracted over 5,000 attendees from dozens of countries — including representatives from government bodies, tech enterprises, industry leaders, and research institutions. The event featured vibrant exchanges and fruitful outcomes, highlighting the growing vitality and strong cohesion of the global cybersecurity ecosystem.

The CYDES 2025 was grandly held at the Putrajaya International Convention Centre, with Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi delivering the opening address to officially kick off the event. In his speech, he emphasized the strategic importance of cybersecurity in national governance and the digital economy, stating that Malaysia will continue to strengthen international cooperation and enhance the resilience of its critical infrastructure. The presence of top government leadership at the opening reflects Malaysia’s strong commitment to the cybersecurity agenda.

Among the many exhibition zones, the China Pavilion, featuring a collective presence of Chinese companies, stood out as a highlight of the event. Here, Z-ONE joined hands with ten leading Chinese cybersecurity enterprises — including Netchina Cloud Security, TianJi Partners, RankEZ, Embedway, Century Longmai, Easysign, Tanze INFO, Seclead, TrustAsia, and FOUNDTECH — to build a dynamic platform showcasing China’s cybersecurity innovation and technological strength.

This was more than a simple product showcase — it marked a meaningful step in the collective effort of China’s cybersecurity industry to go global and engage more deeply with the international digital security landscape.

In the China Pavilion, visitors from around the world gathered in a steady stream. Many stopped to engage with the exhibits presented by Chinese cybersecurity companies, listening attentively to introductions on cutting-edge technologies such as threat intelligence, traffic analysis, privileged access management, and data security.

From data governance to cyberattack defense, from identity authentication to compliance, the innovative solutions showcased — including efficient and user-friendly threat detection systems, flexible and reliable identity verification technologies, and forward-looking zero trust architecture practices — sparked strong interest and enthusiastic feedback. These interactions offered the world a compelling glimpse into China’s deep expertise and growing momentum in the cybersecurity domain.

Throughout the exhibition, a series of in-depth interviews took place on site. International media outlets turned their attention to Chinese cybersecurity firms, particularly Z-ONE and its partners, to explore their insights and practices in the field. These stories reached broader global audiences, not only highlighting China’s technical strength but also affirming the international vision and ambition of its cybersecurity innovators.

During the event, the China Pavilion welcomed multiple high-level delegations. Senior officials from Malaysia’s National Cyber Security Agency (NACSA), representatives from cybersecurity agencies across ASEAN, delegates from Pakistan, and even several representatives from Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) visited the pavilion for meaningful exchanges.

What’s more, the China Pavilion’s presence extended far beyond the exhibition floor. TianJi Partners, as a rising player in China’s cybersecurity landscape, took the stage at the CYDES 2025 Forum to deliver a keynote. Their presentation covered the evolving dynamics of digital risk governance amid shifting geopolitical landscapes, China's technological breakthroughs, and the company’s experience in serving global clients. Their professional insights and globally-minded articulation were met with warm applause from the audience, further elevating China’s international image and voice in the cybersecurity space.

During the event, Z-ONE, together with local partners, hosted a private dinner during the event, inviting over 50 key cybersecurity stakeholders from Malaysia. The evening was filled with in-depth conversations on regional threat landscapes, market needs, and collaboration opportunities. More than just a networking occasion, the dinner built a solid foundation for future strategic cooperation and deeper mutual understanding between Chinese and Malaysian cybersecurity communities.

To gain a deeper understanding of Malaysia’s cybersecurity and tech innovation ecosystem, Z-ONE thoughtfully organized a high-value side visit during a break in the busy CYDES agenda. Leading a group of Chinese cybersecurity company representatives, the delegation visited Cyberview, one of Malaysia’s most prominent innovation hubs.

As a government-backed platform for driving technology development, Cyberview’s headquarters radiate modernity and vitality. Guided by Cyberview’s team, the Chinese delegates toured various innovation zones and listened to detailed briefings on Malaysia’s incentive policies for attracting foreign investment and fostering technological innovation — including tax benefits, R&D subsidies, and talent programs.

The group also gained firsthand insights into Cyberview’s comprehensive innovation ecosystem — from startup incubation to the commercialization of mature projects. Every aspect showcased a strong commitment to building a conducive environment for innovation.

This field visit gave Chinese companies a clearer picture of Malaysia’s sincerity and strategic support for tech development, offering valuable perspective and inspiration as they look to expand in Southeast Asia.

The successful conclusion of CYDES 2025 marked yet another milestone in the global presence of China’s cybersecurity industry. Through the China Pavilion curated by Z-ONE, ten leading Chinese cybersecurity companies took the international stage together — offering the world a close-up view of China’s technical strength and innovation in the field.

More than a showcase, this collective appearance reflected a growing confidence and openness within the industry, as Chinese cybersecurity enterprises actively engage with the global digital economy and pursue broader opportunities on the world stage.

This journey to Malaysia not only injected fresh momentum into China’s path toward internationalization but also opened a new chapter of meaningful dialogue, collaboration, and shared growth with the global cybersecurity community.

Join hands with Z-ONE and go overseas together!
